Koenig Joins Epinions.com Board
Although the company has no plans yet to go public, the ties to Koenig suggest that it has a strong "in" with Goldman, a bank that many startups are anxious to have as lead manager of their initial public offerings. Having a big-name underwriter can enhance a company's debut, and the competition among startups to win a date with a leading investment bank has become intense.
