Boston Globe on ex-Terra Lycos chief's new book: In the book, Bob Davis writes that he felt ''betrayed'' by Wetherell's backpedalling on the USA Networks deal. While Wetherell told him his actions were only business, Davis writes that Wetherell's failure to say so publicly made him feel "hurt on a very personal level." Ultimately, Davis and Diller decided they lacked shareholder support and withdrew the deal in May 1999.
