9/11 Commission

May 22, 2002 09:12 AM

Senate majority leader, Tom Daschle, is calling for a special commission to look into the government's action (or inaction) prior to 9/11. Everyone knew this would happen, but do we really need it? I'm one of the most cynical people I know when it comes to government, but I don't believe for a second that if the government had felt there was a serious threat to American citizens they wouldn't have done everything possible to stop it.

You remember how you felt that day, right? It was just so shocking. So unbelievable. Who could ever imagine?

It only took 8 months for partisan bickering to start up again. There's my cynicism. Sigh.
