New Sentencing Restrictions

Republicans are trying to jam through new sentencing restrictions on judges by burying it in the Amber Alert expansion bill (HR 1104). A judge's ability to give a sentence below federal guidelines would be significantly reduced, whereas sentences above federal guidelines would be left alone.
