The Burning Bush

May 23, 2003 06:14 PM

Senator Richard Lugar is a Republican and the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee. He has quite politely suggested that Bush's plan for peace in Iraq is, well, non-existent. Only $2.5 billion in nation building funds have been allocated, out of the estimated $100 billion needed.

But the good news is we're getting our tax cut! Is it $350 billion? Or $810 billion? I'm glad our elected public servants learned all the clever accounting tricks from the Enron TV movie.

Oh, and everyone's finally figured out that Jay Garner's tenure in Iraq was a bad idea and a total failure. Even I knew that would happen, and I'm not the leader of the semi-free world.
