Where's the budget plan, Issa?

July 8, 2003 9:05 AM

The Washington Post is in awe of Darrell Issa, and his audacious attempt to steal the governorship. There is quote after quote from hopelessly ignorant Republicans about how "Darrell's got guts" and he's "telling it like it is."

There's a very big problem, however, and it's buried in half a sentence in the second to last paragraph: "He did not outline how he would solve California's budget crisis, but promised Davis soon would be ousted."

Issa hasn't a prayer of getting the budget crisis solved as governor, and no one is even bothering to ask that question. The man wants to be governor in as little as 3 months, and he doesn't even have a budget plan!

How many cars would he have to steal to come up with $38 billion?
