New LA Times poll: 65% approve, and 19% disapprove. 32% think things are moving in the right direction, up from 14% in August. 40% have more confidence in state government now while only 20% have less confidence.

Here's a breakdown of his 65% approval rating:

71% men
59% women

50% of liberals
68% of moderates
76% of conservatives

52% of Democrats
58% of independents
86% of Republicans
