This idea is so clever ... so so so clever.

SingleStat.us will alert you when someone becomes single. You give it their MySpace page, and it looks at when their relationship status changes.

And the marketing is brilliant too. It costs $4 to keep as many people as you want on your radar, but it's waived if you link SingleStat.us on your own MySpace profile.

Which is brilliant on an additional level, because it now creates a massive database of who's hot for whom.

My hat is off to David Weekly, who coded this up in a weekend. Just great.

Not that I'm actually going to use it, of course. ;-)
