Marc Andreessen: In the high-tech industry, at least, it turns out that dictatorial management works pretty well. It's been conventional wisdom for 20 years that you're supposed to involve all of your employees, build consensus, and have ideas coming from the bottom up. But the only way for a big company to change fast and capitalize on its strengths is to have an order from the top.
