Solar Tower Project
September 6, 2002 3:45 PM
The Solar Tower Project just got support from the Australian government to build a tower over 3000 feet in the air that will provide a renewable energy source capable of sustaining 200,000 homes. The solar generated wind farm will represent a savings of 830,000 tons of greenhouse gases per year. EnviroMission hopes to begin construction early next year, and will have it completed in 3 years. There are even plans to allow tourists to travel to the top for what could be the most spectacular view on earth. Where did the technology come from? Germany.
