Debunking Myths about Iraq

March 20, 2003 9:25 AM

Spinsanity debunks many of the myths and misconceptions floating around about Iraq.

Synopsis: There is no tie between Iraq and 9/11. There is no evidence of Iraq pursuing nuclear weapons. Iraq, not Iran, used poison gas in the Halabja conflict. This is not a war for oil. The war is technically multilateral, although it feels unilateral in spirit. The majority of Americans did not support the President's war when he made his final decision.
