"...it was just a matter of emphasis."

Bush administration officials are now privately admitting what we knew all along. The claim that Saddam had dangerous weapons was merely a ploy to justify an expansion of power in the Middle East.

The arrogance evident here is terrifying. Bush no longer feels it necessary to lie because he is assuming that the only people who will be incensed are those who already oppose him. And he's probably right.

What does that say about America?
