Bush lied about Iraq's weapons
July 10, 2003 10:50 PM
It's official. Bush lied about Iraq's weapons in the State of the Union address to sell a war. The CIA told him the information was bogus. David Martin, CBS News National Security Correspondent broke the story.
This is the worst crime any U.S. President has ever committed.
U.S. Constitution, Article II, Section 4:
"The President, Vice President, and all civil officers of the United States shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors."
Let the impeachment process begin.

So, while Bush and Rice are saying that the CIA approved inclusion of the statement in the SOTU, the CBS News article says that high-ranking administration officials informed that the CIA objected to the statement.
And they only dropped their objections, when Bush promised to state explicitly that the intelligence came from the British.
Notice this sentence from Condi:
"If the CIA -- the director of central intelligence -- had said 'Take this out of the speech,' it would have been gone," Rice said. "We have a high standard for the president's speeches."
Note how she changes the focus in mid-sentence from the CIA to the Director of the CIA. Does this mean that only the Director of the CIA (Tenet) could cause deletions in the SOTU?
But, according to the CBS News article, the Director of the CIA never saw the final draft. What kind of bullshit is this?!!!

That CBS News article is a bombshell. Someone is going to have to take the fall for the President.

The sad thing is that this may blow over... "the majority of Americans belive Sadaam was guilty because he wouldn't cooperate with th U.N." said the chief CNN political analyst... it's funny how you can manipulate a democracy in a ignorant majority... I apologize, it is not funny, it is scary.. it is coming... unfortunatly I feel we will have the opportunity to tell them I told you so.

Actually I would like to know who the "sources" are within the CIA that the story "quotes". Before I believe anything the "media" has to say about anything I need to know if they are telling the truth.

Now that I have had a few days to review the material I just have to ask "What's all the flack about?" The information included in his speak is still being touted as "good" by the British government. Where as anyone "proved" it is not true?

Hillary Lied Too..:
"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including Al Qaeda members, though there is apparently no evidence of his involvement in the terrible events of September 11, 2001. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter the political and security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know all too well affects American security." -- Hillary Clinton, October 10, 2002
