Money talks

October 19, 2003 9:20 PM

The Bush administration is giving up partial control over reconstruction in Iraq. No, they haven't suddenly decided that the international community has more than just an obligation to help out financially, but also a right to influence the direction.

They caved because their guy in charge is begging for money.

Paul Bremer: "I need the money so bad we have to move off our principled opposition to the international community being in charge."

Rumsfeld, Powell to be gone in second Bush administration. Rice picked as next Secretary of State.

(Of course, this presumes the unlikely scenario that voters would choose to keep Bush around, after the incredible botch job he's made of U.S. foreign and domestic policy.)

Whatever happened to Adam in MA and "The Likely Story" (http://likelystory.net/)?

After Adam's blog partner Rick in Davis went off the deep end, did they just part ways and shut the site down?

I really appreciated Adam's investigative journalism.

By the way, here's where I go to keep up to date on the war in Iraq.

I know that they were having hosting problems with the site, but it's been down for about a month now, so I suspect it could be down for good.
