Looking for the silver lining...

Matt Yglesias has some positive spin on Dean's 3rd place finish: "It's become a bit of a cliché that Dean is his own worst enemy, but tonight I think it could be quite literally true. If Dean were to finish a disappointing third behind Kerry and Edwards, he'd still be left with plurality support around the country and the opposition would be hopelessly divided leaving him well-positioned to cruise to the nomination." Tonight was really disappointing. I just can't believe this entrance poll: 75% opposed the war, and of that 27% support Kerry and 25% Dean. Iowa just told the country that the war doesn't matter. Reports are that Gephardt is pulling out tomorrow.
