The News Hounds are making news

July 30, 2004 10:53 AM

One of the news hounds was interviewed in her hometown paper, the Marin Independent Journal.

Chris explains what it was like to monitor FNC every day for Outfoxed:

Prior to this, none of us watched Fox at all. We range in age from 45 to 63 and are scattered across the United States - California, Colorado, Maine, Missouri, Michigan, New Mexico, Tennessee and Pennsylvania. After the first three weeks of continuous Fox watching, we all began to have melt downs. We would joke about how we needed purification rituals to exorcise the Murdoch demons.

But "what started out as a short-term commitment became a kind of obsession," and they've not only continued, but expanded their work on their smash instant-hit blog at newshounds.us: "We watch FOX so you don't have to."

Meanwhile, another news hound, Ellen, has been embroiled in a running drama with FNC's faux liberal host Alan Colmes. Alan feels that he's proven his liberal cred by having guests like Ralph Nader and Larry Flynt on his radio program. Wes Boyd from MoveOn.org summed it up nicely: "With friends like this, who needs enemies?"

Go news hounds go! I'm so proud to be your Blogfather.
