"sensational debut"

August 11, 2004 8:07 PM

Outfoxed debuted at #2 on the indieWIRE:BOT with a $15,611 per-screen average on five screens, ahead of Garden State and behind Open Water.

Docs, however, continue their summer sizzle with the release of Robert Greenwald's "Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism," which made a sensational debut despite being available on DVD.

Outfoxed broke the record at the Quad Cinemas in NYC for the best opening weekend in its 30-year history, and will expand to an additional 6 screens on Friday, adding theaters in DC, NYC, SF, LA, San Jose and Baltimore.

And Alternet just sued to strip FNC of their trademark "Fair and Balanced" on the "grounds that it is misleading, deceptive and notoriously mis-descriptive." You can get a free DVD of Outfoxed if you donate $30 or more to Alternet's battle.
