Bill O'Reilly: Kerry Must Win

September 30, 2004 5:09 PM

Bill O'Reilly cited a slew of polls, which we already know to be skewed toward Bush, and then pre-spins the debate: "If John Kerry does not win the debate this evening, he will likely not win the presidency."

UPDATE: Newt just re-iterated Bill's point... Kerry Must Win.

Tom from Madison:

Kerry needs Bill O'Reilly's advice like a fish needs a bicycle.

Many of the polls underpinning O'Reilly's analysis are based on the belief that "likely voters" can be predicted based on previous election demographics. Kerry is enlisting young voters and attempting to change the equation by countering the effort of Bush's brother et al to block voter registration efforts.

Early reports are optimistic. Some counties in Ohio are seeing huge increases in young voter registrations. This can't be good for the President! However, that dynamic will never be discussed on THE FACTOR.

What a mess .Like most Europeans I do not feel that Americans appear to think enough in relation to the responsibility that is on their shoulders when they vote . America is too islolated and insular and far too single mnded to survive in the long term if Bush gets in. Politically Europe would collectively marginalise due to the intrinsic bitterness over the war in Iraq and economically America will be shafted by China .
