Jon Stewart's Crossfire intervention
October 16, 2004 9:28 AM
Jon Stewart canonized himself as Patron Saint of Democracy on Crossfire yesterday. Words can't quite describe how brilliant this was, you must see the video: (WMV, AVI Torrent, Transcript)
I saw it last night at digi foo camp with a group of about a hundred people. The place was roaring.

Brilliant would be an understatement!! I was enthralled with the way Jon Stewart cut through the twisting of the Crossfire team and laid the problem of America's media at the feet of the viewers.

I didn't think I could love Jon Stewart any more than I already did, but now he is truly my hero. The sad part is, I don't think Tucker Carlson and Paul Begala got it. Maybe if they keep thinking about it, it will sink in.

The Washington Post is pretty sad because they replace "dick" in one of their quotes with "[male pride]" instead of "[penis]" or "[expletive]."

Meanwhile The Daily Show made popular by Craig Kilborn is getting beaten to death by the current host. Pissing off half the audience by making the show a long boring campaign commercial, and dulling the senses of most of the remaining audience is hardly the formula for success. Give it time and advertisers will be looking elsewhere, like a show that keeps its audience.

That time has come. His ratings are in a nose dive.

LOL!! The Daily Show tanking? Comedy!
The show is EXPLODING as is obvious by the amount of word-of-mouth going on about it the past number of months, not to mention this is a fact based on Nielsen ratings.
I was upset when Craig Kilborn left the Daily Show, but that was back in like 1998 or something. Jon Stewart has dramatically improved through the years -- and now is obvious by his appearance on Crossfire, he is unstoppable.
I now worship this man for having the balls to cut throught he shit on Crossfire and to continue to have such a hilarious show.

Jon Stewart rocks. The Daily Show has entertainment value unmatched by anything on the right. Unfortunately for the righties, attacking it won't make it go away--au contraire!

The Drudge Report? lmfao. This is the same online news mag. that reported John Kerry as leading in the Florida exit polls.
