Murdoch: This isn't Your Tube.. it's My Tube

December 23, 2005 1:13 PM

Rupert Murdoch's recent acquisition of MySpace has already led to at least one change at the online hotspot... no more video from YouTube. MySpacers are fighting back.

How long until MySpace changes their policy back? Mr. Murdoch is about to learn himself a lesson -- either conform to the rule of the internet, or see his $500 million investment go down the youtube.

UPDATE: Sure enough, Murdoch caved. YouTube is back on MySpace... and it made the New York Times to boot.

I'd have loved to check out the youtube group on mySpace, except everytime I type in the address it boots me out of my account and back to the sign in page. Does anyone know, has it been deleted?

Paul:

Yesterday, I talked to a couple of 17-year-olds I know, and they both knew about MySpace. Sounds like it is very popular among high school students.

But, they didn't know about YouTube.

Face Buddies LTD have introduced a new a community portal called
FaceBuddies.com When asked why is Face Buddies so unique Managing
Director
Kerr Gracie quoted 'We offer the user a new experience in all aspects of
community portals. We have new video uploading software for people to
upload
their own videos which would be a great way for bands to promote
themselves
cheaply and effectivley by targeting people who really want to listen to
them,Members can upload as many photos as they want which is unique with
these
types of groups and make a really unique blog along with music that they
may
have produced which would be great for bedroom dj's and producers, We
encourage people who are wanting to promote themselves and it will be
exciting
to see some of our members express their talent and get noticed and we
hope
they do as we give a opportunity for younger generations to promote
themselves
in a freindly and safe enviroment which we feel other site lack which is
of
prior importance'
