FINALLY!!!! This has been quite the ordeal.
I'm so tall that I will be getting the first lung that shows up that is big enough and the right blood type (O). No one knows if that means it happens quickly, or takes a long time.
I'm on the lung transplant list!! (01.11.2006)

I am sorry to hear about your ordeal. I just stumbled upon your page after learning my 54 year old mother is in your predicament as well.
I feel for you, and hope they find a donor soon...my mom is going for her 2nd biopsy, I believe to determine if she wants to go the transplant route...
I have her first grandchild on the way with my wife...and it is so hard letting go sometimes.
I look forward to continuing to read your blog.

Good Luck to you. I hope yuu get your tall lungs soon. I too am on the list for double lung transplant in Indianapolis at Clarian Methodist. i've been on the list for a year now, but I have an odd blood type. B+ and something diff with the dna which I need a crossmatch with the donor, which both slows it down. So I know how ya feel. Hang in there. I leave it in Gods hands. Take care
