The Wii Workout

November 27, 2006 1:23 PM

This is so cool. I can't wait to get my first Wii workout post transplant.

"Ryan Mercer, a customs broker in Indianapolis, lifts weights several times a week. But that hasn't helped much with the Wii. After playing the boxing game for an hour and a half, his arms, shoulders and torso were aching. 'I was soaking wet with sweat, head to toe -- I had to go take a shower,' he says. And the next morning? 'I had trouble putting my shirt on,' says the 21-year-old avid gamer."

I have a Wii myself, and I can vouch for the soreness... mostly in my right arm, but even my sides can get sore. Tennis is my favorite game on Wii Sports; I beat Zelda and I'm working on Rayman: Raving Rabbids (very entertaining Wario Ware-type game).

I played all the games on Christmas Day and was very excited! The next day I felt like I had hit the batting cages, the bowling alley, the tennis court and the boxing ring(with out the bruises)all in one day. Golf didn't matter because I was terrible and didn't play much. Day 3 and I am still sore, but getting better each day. Awesome game.

i played the Wii for one day, but it was about 8 hours of play, and now my right arm is KILLING ME!! i love Tennis, but i think playing Bowling 7 games in a row is what killed me, i didnt get to play Boxing because when my two buds were playing, they accidentally hit the controllers together and the one controller didnt work for a while, but i kept playing Bowling!!! Wii Rocks!!
